a. Student Population – 365. 16 classes. 2 busses. Portable no longer needed
b. 28 staff (6 kindergarten, 14 classes, 4 preps, 2 SSC, 2 support staff)
c. Viewed 2 videos re: School Fundraising
d. 2025 – 2026 Fundraising Goals: i. Technology (Pizza funds) ii. Grade 8 Graduation (popcorn sales, cookies, movie night) iii. Kindergarden Play Area iv. Whole School activity
e. School Council Forum Denison – Wednesday Oct 29 – 5:30-8:30pm – need 2 attendees.
f. Robyn reviewed Literacy goals for this school year.
4. Review of Roles/Committees
a) Chair/Admin/Treasurer/Voting Members (12). Chair – Matthew, Admin – Jacqueline (?), Treasurer – Michelle H. Voting Members: All attendees (7) plus Heather S/Tara A/Annilease Van Meer
b) Committee Leads – Grad Committee (Dawn)/Fundraising (Heather)/Equity/Social/School Displays/ARTS/Pro-Grant. – Waiting for volunteers to step forward
c) Everyone can help with all Committees & Events
d) Meeting Days/Times. Thursdays have permit. Other nights are options. Will have hyprid option for future meetings. Maybe give some Grade 8 contacts for babysitting so parents of younger students can attend.
5. Fundraising

d. NEW Hot Lunch – Burrito (to Dec), Greek (Jan-April), Booster Juice & Subway (May-June) – Julie. Will need Wednesday Volunteers.
e. Krispy Kream Donuts again (Matthew) – Nov 26th
f. Big Box of Cards again (Heather).
g. Gift Cards in December.
h. Flip give – too many teams doing it now
i. What are we fundraising for – Need to purchase 10x10 branded tent (preapproved from last year). Vanessa to contact Alegra.
6. School Events Lead by Parent Council
a) Student Movie Night (with Pizza Dinner Option). Jason to check the Disney license. Mat to pick in November.
b) Staff Appreciation (Dec & June). c) Summitview Hockey Night Social – Annual in January. Reach out to Jim for our date. Can food drive.
d) Summer Stinger Event (June). With Book Fair
Skating Trail events – keep those going. Roller skating company comes in to gym? Lakeridge Coupons – deals directly with Nancy. Jason to follow up. Grad Date – TBD – only 33 grads.
